But, y'know, even if you hate me for what I've done, I get it. Nothing new there, kiddo. Just want to say that. 'Cause, honestly? Think it's more important that we take care of whatever this shit is.
[ So, yeah, later. And it's a more graceful acceptance than even Jack would have expected for himself, but at its heart, it's much more logic than emotion. He's had the time to calm down and process what's happened, so it's the break he'd needed to actually think through things instead of latching onto his anger and hurt with vicious intensity. ]

I mean, hell, it's actually easier now, since I have a better idea of what to look for in the first place, but we're just trying to figure out if people are infected, first and foremost.
