It's the kind of thing that's impossible (as New-U stations? totally fake. an urban legend.), so the logical part of him immediately, soundly rejects it. It's just something meant to pull at his heart and manipulate him, because just like a lot here, Alice knows far too much about who he is.

But the less rational part of him, it's not as small of a part as he'd like for it to be. That's hope, and for a few moments, he doesn't even listen to what Alice says, really. His mind is racing with possibility, because if Angel is dead, if Jack can bring her back

But he's snapped back to reality. Alice is still speaking, and at "precarious," he's paying attention once more. He shifts as if uncomfortable, and his frown deepens. ]
